Llanarmon Yn Ial Community Council – Full Play Area Design & Installation
Ray Parry Playgrounds were approached by the Community Council Clerk to tender for a complete new play area in the rural village of Llanarmon Yn Ial. The brief called for a fully designed, fully installed scheme that would provide an innovative recreational space for children of all ages, encouraging physical activity, social interaction and plenty of imaginative, enjoyable play.
Following a competitive and stringent tender process, Ray Parry Playgrounds were awarded the contract to deliver the project from start to finish.
What we delivered
We designed a varied and inclusive play environment that blends naturally into the rural setting while offering challenge, excitement and fun for all age groups. The final installation includes:
- Swings – including toddler and junior options
- Toddler Multiplay unit
- Junior Multiplay unit
- Adventure Trail
- Inclusive wheelchair-accessible roundabout
- Spring seesaw & timber seesaw
- Inclusive dish
- Overhead spinner & pole spinner
- Two spring riders
- Three play panels
- Safety surfacing – grassmats and wetpour throughout
- All timber equipment with robust steel ground fixings
This combination of equipment provides a balanced mix of climbing, sliding, swinging and sensory play, ensuring children of all abilities can enjoy the space together.
The Result
The completed play area is now a vibrant, high-quality facility that offers slides, climbing frames, basket swings, junior swings, spring riders, a walkway and much more. It has quickly become a focal point for families in the community, offering a safe and exciting place for children to stay active and play outdoors.
