An All Inclusive Refresh for Cae Glas Park Oswestry
Oswestry Town Council wanted to update their main Central Park play area. Cae Glas Park is in the centre of Oswestry and a busy award winning public park. The existing play area was lacking equipment suitable for wheelchair users and all inclusive play.
Ray Parry Playgrounds were awarded the contract and commended on their excellent visual drawings and design for the play area update.
We installed a Large Inclusive In Ground Trampoline, 2.4m Inclusive Ability Whirl Roundabout, Steel Inclusive Basket Swing, Steel Vortex Multiplay Climber, 3x Play panels and an additional Self Closing Gate.
Two existing items were removed as the council felt they were unsuitable for the play area. We created a grassed picnic area and overlaid some of the worn out existing safer surfacing. The adults gym equipment was removed from the play area and relocated else where within the park.
Oswestry Town Mayor along with councillors opened the play area and it was enjoyed by a number of children despite the rather inclement weather.
The new equipment has been a fantastic update to the towns mains play area and being enjoyed by all that visit the park.
Oswestry Town Council would like to thank Ray Parry Playgrounds for their professional delivery of the redevelopment of the playground in Cae Glas Park.
We were particularly impressed by their design work which helped the elected members envisage how their plans would look in practice. This set them apart from the competition.
The project was delivered on time and to budget with no problems and we were able to open the playground in time for the start of the school holidays.
