Reducing and Offsetting Our Carbon Footprint
Here at Ray Parry Playgrounds we are dedicated to reducing our carbon footprint. The carbon footprint we do produced we offset.
We are pleased to say the we have offset our carbon footprint for 2020 & 2021. We have worked with Carbon Footprint Ltd to calculate our carbon footprint and offset it through their tree planting scheme.
We offset 25 tonne CO2e through planting trees in the west midlands, as well as this being buddied with the same amount being offset in the amazon rain forest through Brazil Reducing deforestation. The Tree Planting projects are paired with Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) approved carbon credits to guarantee the carbon offsetting.
Carbon footprint Ltd work with Carbon offsetting projects helping to combat global climate change as well as caring for local communities. Offsetting provides a mechanism to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in the most cost-effective and economically-efficient manner. Offsetting plays a vital role in combating climate change.
Over 95% of all the products we sell are manufactured within the UK. Where possible the materials used for our products are made from recycled materials or can be recycled in the future.
We strongly believe in supporting local business, All our employment is local and wherever we work we aim to use local suppliers i.e raw materials, concrete, skips, welfare etc. By doing this we help to keep down our miles and emissions as well as lower the overall impact we create.
