The official opening of the new Darwin’s Islands of Adventure Play Area and Splash Park in Shrewsbury’s historic Quarry Park home of the famous Shrewsbury Flower Show and Birth Place of Charles Darwin.
Officially opened by the Town Mayor on the hottest day of the year with well in excess of 300 very excited screaming children together with local councilors and officials
Ray Parry Playgrounds supplied over 300 free ice creams, a children’s entertainer and a disco which councilors said gave the atmosphere of not just an opening but a fantastic event and likened it to a children’s beach party.
Darwin’s Islands of Adventure features twenty items of equipment including 3 metre high Tree House Slide, Swings, Fully inclusive Roundabout, Mission Climber, Rotators, Basket Swing, River Crossing Bridge c/w Rubber Spheres, spring riders and two existing fully refurbished Sutcliffe Climbers all installed into colourfull Wet Pour complete with graphics depicting animals and fish found at the Galapagos Islands.
The very old existing paddling pool transformed into the most exciting Water Splash park complete with Cannons, overhead Tipping Bucket’s, Anchors Away and ground Sprays all using a fully recyclable Water System. The area is surrounded by Wet Pour and Synthetic grass making it the ideal place for parents and Guardians to totally chill out whilst the children enjoy the fantastic water features.
A completely satisfied Shrewsbury Town Council congratulated us on a fantastic job from beginning to end and said that we had gone that extra mile in delivering a full turnkey project beyond their expectations on time and within budget.
