Throwback Project: A Full Playground Transformation at Pall Mall Holiday Park, Tywyn
It’s hard to believe it’s already been 12 months since we completed a full-scale playground redevelopment at Pall Mall Holiday Park in Tywyn, North Wales — but this project still stands out as one of our favourites.
The Brief
The team at Pall Mall approached us with a clear goal: they wanted their existing play area completely reimagined. The space was tired and in need of modernisation to meet the expectations of today’s families. Safety, visual appeal and maximum play value were all top priorities.
Here’s what we were tasked with:
- Full removal of the old equipment
- Complete redesign of the layout and flow of the space
- Installation of new play equipment to appeal to a wide age range
- Safer surfacing to ensure low-maintenance, year-round usability
The Design
We started by looking at how families use the space during peak season and designed a layout that encouraged active, social play while ensuring easy supervision for parents. The new play equipment includes a mix of climbing, sliding, and imaginative play elements, chosen for both durability and fun factor.
To finish it off, we installed new safety surfacing, offering improved protection, drainage, and a vibrant look that complements the holiday park’s setting.
The Result
The transformation was immediate. What was once a dated space became a vibrant, family-friendly zone that quickly became one of the park’s most popular features.
Holidaymakers now enjoy a safe, more engaging space where children can play freely, and parents can relax knowing the equipment is professionally installed and compliant with the latest safety standards.
